Frank Smith
President
Frank G. Smith, President of FGS Financial, Inc., has been guiding individuals and families in achieving their financial goals since 1992. Beginning his career in financial services at Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL), a Fraternal Benefit Society, he transitioned in 2012 to an independent financial advisor role, founding FGS Financial, Inc.
With over three decades of experience, Frank specializes in financial planning, retirement planning, college funding strategies, estate planning, and tax planning. In addition to leading FGS Financial, he has shared his expertise as an instructor, teaching adult education programs on the key elements of financial well-being.
Residing in St. James, NY with his wife Heidi, Frank is a dedicated family man. He has two children: his son Frank, who lives in Florida with his two sons, and daughter Brandy, who is also a financial advisor at FGS Financial and resides in Babylon Village with her two sons.
When Frank is not working he and Heidi love to spend time outdoors camping in their RV on the beaches of Long Island and at Lake George with their grandsons, and rescued pups, Chance and Freda.
Brandy Seyfried
Investment Advisor
Brandy joined the family business in November 2016 as an administrative assistant to her father. In her role as Administrative Assistant, Brandy ensures the office operates smoothly and efficiently, handling client communications, managing schedules, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
As part of a family-run firm, Brandy is passionate about combining personal values with professional service. She takes pride in building strong relationships with clients and learning from her father’s 32 plus years of expertise in financial planning.
In 2024, Brandy earned her Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, and her title was upgraded to Financial Advisor. In addition to providing exceptional service to clients, Brandy works alongside her father. Together, they help clients with college, retirement, estate, and tax planning.
Outside of work, Brandy stays busy with her two sons, Hunter and Chase. She enjoys staying active working out and hiking, and spending summer days at the beach and on the water.
Heidi Smith
Administrative Assistant
Heidi has been connected to the financial services industry for more than 50 years. Growing up, she gained early exposure to the field through her father, who worked for a financial services company. This foundation gave her a deep appreciation for the importance of helping individuals and families plan for their financial futures.
For the past 32 plus years, Heidi has supported her husband, Frank, in his career as a financial advisor, contributing to the growth and success of FGS Financial, Inc. In her role as Administrator Assistant, Heidi’s responsibilities include administrative support, client communication, operational efficiency, and team collaboration.
When away from the office, Heidi enjoys spending time with family, catching up with friends, gardening, camping, and caring for her dogs, Chance and Freda.
